Client Background

Reno Tahoe International Airport (RTAA) stands as the second-largest commercial airport in Nevada, serving as a pivotal hub for both domestic and international travel.

Challenge

The challenge involved remodeling the RTAA Base Ops and Airfield Maintenance Office, including parking and site improvements, ADA restroom upgrades, extensive demolition, storefront and access enhancements, as well as new and improved finishes for flooring, ceilings, and paint. Functional upgrades were implemented for mechanical, electrical, telecom, and surveillance systems.

Strategy

Reyman Construction focused on organizing selected subcontractors and developing a schedule to simultaneously complete the furnishing in both buildings. The goal was to successfully deliver the 7500 sqft dual building project as specified by RTAA.

TIMELINE

Collaborating with RTAA, we extended the calendar days by 108 to accommodate the HVACC units. Total timeline was 258 days.

SOLUTION

The solution involved transforming two outdated storage/office buildings into modern flex spaces. The result is a combination of fully furnished break rooms, designated office spaces, conference and IT areas, along with an upgraded storage footprint.

RESULTS

The renovated buildings now provide RTAA with updated facilities for effective storage, person-to-person office collaboration, and employee break areas. The project aimed to meet the client’s requirements and contribute to the functionality of the Base Ops and Airfield Maintenance Office.
